This is documentation that Team #1, [Thomas Moreira, Jazlin Alvarenga, Melyana Miranda, Olivia Payumo, Regino Rodriguez], acknowledges, has read, understood and accepted the requirements, deadlines, and deliverables of the team project which will be completed during the Fall semester of 2022 for the course, MGS*3040*02.
These terms and conditions include, interviewing the MIS manager, Ayah Mansour of Target store in Edgewater NJ, observing a segment of the company’s MIS operations, and building an in-depth-analysis of the data collected. Our team decided on gathering further information on the company Target. A group report and powerpoint presentation (with audio) will be completed at the end of the project. The report will be based on the following concept:
The main purpose of your project is to identify ways the firm has used information systems to improve performance in the last 3 - 5years, and to recommend specific courses of action that will lead to further improvements in the next couple of years.
The project will have several milestones which include, an acknowledgement by all team members, stating the understanding of all of the projects requirements & deliverables, and a blog address will all be due for Unit 1. This will be due on September 12th.
In Unit 3, the team will submit an outline for project status update which will be due on October 5th. In Unit 10, the team will submit their final paper and will present a powerpoint presentation. This will be due on December 14th.
Finally, the project will be evaluated according to the following: project’s significance and quality of treatment, level of MIS knowledge and insights, quality of the analysis and recommendations for improvement, and the organization of the report.
In conclusion, the final project will be presented on a MS Powerpoint or Google Presentation format. For an effective execution, the audio clip from each group member and visual aids will be presented all within 15 minutes or less. Therefore, the project will be graded based on time management, analysis depth and accuracy, visual quality, creativity in delivery, group coordination, and audience interest.
